Description
Think Rose of Sharon is all about the flowers? Think again. Paraplu Adorned® is here to flip the script with stunning variegated foliage that looks like it came out of an artist’s sketchbook. In spring, bright yellow leaves burst onto the scene, then like magic, deep green blotches spread through the center of each maple-like leaf. It’s a show even before the blooms show up.
And when they do? Get ready. By midsummer, huge amethyst-purple flowers take over, contrasting beautifully against that gold-and-green foliage backdrop. It’s the definition of garden drama—and it just keeps going.
Paraplu Adorned® grows fast (faster than most variegated hibiscus), reaching 5–8 ft tall and 4–6 ft wide. It’s perfect as a flowering hedge, bold accent, or even a container centerpiece. It thrives in full sun, laughs at deer, and doesn’t demand much in return.
So if you’re ready for a Rose of Sharon that looks amazing even before it blooms—and then somehow gets even better—this is the one.
